sloanrunner , here's a bit from of another (in depth) article from 2 days ago - African Minerals: Making Tonkolili Project concept a reality - by Abu Bakarr Kargbo.
" AML has started the construction of in excess of 186km of state of the art heavy haul railroad, specialized rail workshops to service and maintain a large rolling stock fleet and track maintenance fleet, and creation of third party access opportunities. This will be followed by the construction of new Capsized vessel deep water port, re-commissioning of the existing Pepel Port, 200Mt multiple product stockpiling, processing and ship loading facility, multiple berthing facilities, national and regional marine and infrastructure growth opportunity."

From today's news "The new funds will allow an improvement in the planned infrastructure so that all transport will be on rail, instead of a mix with road haulage." that means Tonkolili - Marampa - Pepel Port developed faster. Two Chinese are pumping it so....all aboard please :)
