Well Dave more fool me, I don't have a trust fund, negatively geared properties or any other such schemes.

I am very well paid but as PAYG earner I get smashed every time. Paid my own house off, pay private health insurance, pay for school fees, pay for every bloody thing.

And get hit with flood levies, now debt levy, division 293 extra 15% tax on superannuation contributions, and have lost every remaining deduction ie spouse tax rebate, health insurance rebate, everything gone. Don't get back one cent from these thieving mongrels. (Don't want it either but how much tax should one person have to pay?)

Eventually you weigh things up and say enough is enough. I am at that point now. It's not worth it these days to bust your ass and try and succeed. Better to back off, relax, take more time off, take a study break, earn less, pay less tax, and start milking the system for all it's worth.
