At the risk of repeating myself, the ONLY way to get tax revenue up is to get more people on the payroll and paying tax.

There is no other sustainable way.

Australians already pay some of the highest prices in the world for goods and services. Putting prices up (ie. increasing taxes) can only shrink the economy. And when that happens the unproductive sector, - who seem to dominate this forum, - will be the hardest hit.
