Yes gdbeech, guess our authorities have to be vigilant, particularly during times of war as is occurring in the Middle East, as there will be misguided people some of whom may basically be radical nutjob's who as Tony Abbott says try and misuse ancient religion to justify their vile acts today.
These dimwit nutjob’s wind up hurting people of their own origins because their vile acts cause angst against them simply because they may share the same origin or name of faith. It will likely also result in tighter immigration laws that will restrict entry into Australia and other countries and those countries cannot be blamed for doing so while some who have the privilege of a better life in Australia are trying to do harm. They are a very small minority within the 2% of Australians of Muslim background but their indiscriminate desire to terrorise causes profound anger from the great majority of Australians from all backgrounds.
Anyway, my thanks to our police and security personnel and all those who have contributed to thwarting the plans of these nutters.
Christmas is supposed to be a time of peace and goodwill. I hope and pray thats how it turns out for all in Australia and elsewhere.
