You got that right Zonetrader when you said people have been turning their back on Labor despite Tony Abbott not because of him and that Ronald McDonald could do as well.
But you see it does not matter what people are thinking just now as the next federal election is still over two years away.
This budget is OK and has met most peoples expectations IMO. The asylum seeker issue is being firmly dealt with too at last. The carbon tax will be a test but I suspect it will be implemented in such a way that most people and business will barely feel the effect. Maybe the budget will return to surplus before the next election also.
IMO there will be a whole new set of issues that the next election will be fought on and anything could happen.
