-I'll agree with you there. I'm not trying to sway any vote in any direction but it's worth knowing what sophistry actually infers beyond its banal definitions of "clever" or "complex". It's more about self-delusion and pomposity than genuine wisdom, like a second-year uni student (sophomore) who thinks they know it all but still have a long way to go:
