But, it's alleged - Tony Burke, who's leading the charge to get rid of Brownyn Bishop - whom he personally hates and loathes, allegedly - personally, politically, ideologically - has had to, himself, over the years, I read, pay back unjustified claimed expenses at least 15 times, allegedly. Let us have full details of which travels and jaunts HE allegedly took at our expense - allegedly some with family - and ask - has he paid it ALL back?
And whilst we're at it - how about a major thorough independent audit - of each and every politician's claimed expenses - no matter the Party -say, covering the last 5 years? Of so-called "service". Even the retired. Any suggestions? The whole system needs a good wide broom?
We're all belt-tightening. So should they!
These Johnny come lately Senators - there on a handful of votes, for instance. Can't be budged for another four and more years. Bet some of them now, living the high life! Retiring on a huge $ pile! Can't believe their luck. Must be akin to winning Tattslotto. And we, the plebs, pay for their total ineptness.
High time for some changes.
