The author is Fergus Hunter, whoever he is. Looks like he just rolled out of high school, So I'd take his "expert opinion" with a large cup of salt.
The problem with FewFacts papers. Because they're such a basket case over recent years they have sacked most of their senior journalists. Those remain are largely "nobodys", wet behind the ears, no experience in life and who tend to have an immature, "undergraduate" view of the world. Just a few weeks ago, here on HC, was a link wherein the SMH proudly boasted they were employing dropouts from journalism degrees .... boy, doesn't it show.
It's a shame because the mastheads of the Fairfax family papers were once highly respected. Today, both the SMH and the Pravda on the Yarra are trashy tabloids with no credibility left. The pimply faced senior editors don't help.
