I think what Windsor was saying is that if he backed the Coalition,Parliament would do very little at all other than 'hang round' waiting for the Polls to show a Liberal Victory in another election.
However he and the other Independents wanted THIS current Parliament to stay for 3 years because such a hung parliament MAY get Legislation passed that wouldn't be if Major Party held majority.

Also personally,probably no Independent wanted involvement with the Nationals.The Liberals on this Forum seem to ignore the Nationals even when they are Coalition.Just expect them the Nationals to support any thing Liberal.
You might go on'n'on about the Unholy Labor/Green Alliance but it's the Nationals and their incomprehension of the modern world along with their Pack of Time Serving Politicans that will prevent any future Liberal Government.

Job for Life is the National Party elected.Check out the 'stretches' some of the Qld LNPers have done.
