You are missing the point. Abbot never attacked the flood relief efforts. He attacked the need for a levy.Apart from that issue there is the issue of the Govt being totally unable to responsibly manage any clean-up effort without huge wastage and negligent building practices.

Occam, I agree with you, but I don't think the lefties here want to see the truth and prefer to keep posting the labor stereotype propaganda. I have posted a couple of times today to point out the same as you have just done.
I have also asked on more than one occasion today for a source of their claims that Abbott wants to hurt Qld. As someone else pointed out, the silence has been deafening on that one.
But they continue to post that to oppose the levy is to hurt Qld. It is clear they simply have a different agenda than accepting the obvious truth.
The fact that there is nationwide concern that this levy may not even reach it's destination due to waste and mismanagement and the fact that these funds could potentially be sourced from existing revenue streams seems to fall on very deaf ears (or eyes in this case!).
The recent poll on Sunrise indicated over 90% opposed this levy and less than 10% agreed with it. Here is a link to the video:
