You appear to have misunderstood my comment that Kevin Rudd would be 'relatively free' to rip shreds off Tony Abbott's statements etc.
I was not suggesting that all he would do as PM would be to attack Abbott. Rather, Rudd would be freer to do so - less urgency & pressure on his plate from the GFC, initiating major reforms, internal problems etc.
You also appear to have forgotten that for about 12 years the Howard Govt. virtually sat on its hands with its feet up at Mining Boom Beach - under that model the PM had so little to do his mind wandered to worshipping GWB, intervention into Aboriginal communities, overseas wars & ripping off workers' rights.
