When Tony paused for those 25 secs, he had a look of total unbelief and almost disgust on his face at the cruelty this upstart of a reporter was willing to inflict on the grieving family in an effort to big note himself on national TV.
I doubt very much that Tony was properly briefed prior to the interview. He was clearly shocked and taken by suprise at the arrogance, disrespect and insensitivity of this reporter.
