    Now come on Roger That, pensioners do very nicely thank you. Take myself for example, I get by on my $780.00 a fortnight thank you, my council rates are reduced which brings it down to about $1.200 per annum, that's for a modest house in a normal lower class suburb, after two trips (reduced price for senior citizens) on public transport all trips after those are free, buying a burger at Hungry Jacks I get a free coffee. Saving on cooking is cooking a few meals at once (meals like bacon and eggs excepted) eating one and freezing the remaing saves on power, buying coffee beans and grinding them is a cheap way to go. Now produce that can be grown, (the lettuce, cucumbers and pumpkin are doing well).
    So it's not too bad really.
