What this thread is all about, is, as interest rates increase- the risk free rate of return increases and other investments demand a higher rate of return to be justified. Something like that.
Poppypop finds that current interest rates are enough to preclude him/her from investing in banks at the moment. That is neither right nor wrong. It is one person's risk decision. We all find our own levels of risk that we are comfortable with. The market is the sum of these individual decisions- more or less.
The RBA should be interesting tomorrow. They reckon it is 50/50.
