The world needs Banks , Business needs Banks , first home owners , Baby Boomers , Investors , organisations that borrow from Banks and lend to borrowers need Banks , Churches , Footy Clubs , Restaurants , Clothing Shops , Infrastructure Providers , Shipping Companies , Airlines , all need banks.
You Poppy need a bank to receive your 5 % interest. So you have around $360,000 invested.
$18,000 per year for 5 years = $90,000 Bracket Creep , Price Rises in every thing you touch will eat that $18,000 quicker than you can say Jack Robinson.
I have no idea what the price of WBC or any other bank will be in 1 week let alone in five years time.
But My belief is the price will be well above what it is now , the divvy will be bigger given nothing appears from left field, the Question here is , if you put $360,000 into westpac tomorrow , will that $360,000 be worth more than $450,000 in 5 years.
Who knows the answer , no one , but in my case I am not happy to make 90 k from 360 k over 5 years. I want to make my 360 k 720 k in 5 years. Am I dreaming , perhaps I am. But history shows me I am not , history is a great teacher.
