Yes one issue that has been pointed out is land banking and how its tightly regulated. It did make Councils look at lot sizes and basically double housing without having to provide new roads or services and increased rate revenues.
But it was the privatisation of Council Inspectors and the gutting of Tafe that pushed the scheme out of wack. Tradies no longer cared. Tradies couldnt get Apprentices. It made housing more expensive.
The Ponzi worked.
Had absolutely less to do with Immigration unlike the common bs line projected on here as Immigration comes from historical trends rather than current administrators. Facts will show that Liberals have a positive attitude towards Immigration.
