the whole story of privatisation in Oz is a dog's breakfast --- Keating pushed it and in theory - it's a great idea
but, for some things - they should NEVER be privatised and Keating also just plain underestimated the dodgyness of Australian business -- if they can cheat and cut corners - they will
and that includes things like doing building cheap or building labour cheap - so cheap that the bloody building don't work and haven't a hope of lasting 50 years -might not even last 20 years - and of course - in some cases atm - they never work at all
it's atrocious.
To be honest - IMO, we need a coupe - a new constitution, a totally different form of government and strong moves to making a solid culture
