This is correct. Record happens when the title in the shares transfers ie T+2.These details are always supplied in an appropriate appendix - see announcement on 10/02/21 Appendix 3A.5 Notification of return of capital - Revised.

In section 3 are the relevant dates.

3.2a Today was the last day to be entitled - cum return of capital means with return of capital
3.3 Tomorrow "ex return of capital " means without rights
3.4 Record date. COB the people on the register who will be able to get the rights.

This is all linked to T+2
T being 3/3 (the day you needed to buy to still be in it)
T+2 Friday 5/3
If a trader bought or sold on 3/3, they will go off or on the register as of 5pm on the 5/3 which determines who gets the rights.
