    Yes, the 'call' of an outbreak of international concern was obviously incorrect. Again anyone paying attention could easily see it. I did.
    The criteria for a pandemic are on the WHO web page, the coronavirus clearly fitted the description over a month before the WHO called it.

    I was upset when a week before the announcement of 'an outbreak of international concern' that the WHO had not taken action because it was obvious this was bad!!

    Relying on someone else to 'call' something, and not take responsibility for a hard decision is what politicians are good at. Exactly when we needed them to make hard decisions they squibbed it!

    All the information any one needed was that Wuhan and Hubai province were placed in lockdown on the 23rd of January AND the fact there were cases outside China. Information on how bad this was piled up over the next few DAYS. That was 2 months ago.

    You can evade the elephant in the room all you like, it doesn't change the fact that this was always possible in an interconnected world and we were woefully unprepared to take the necessary actions, and never prepared overall for a pandemic.
