@Exceller ..."Perhaps tired from reading all the medical info keeping you one month ahead of the WHO. Why didn't they just ask your advice in the first place?"

Good grief. The WHO only had to follow their OWN guidelines on a pandemic to have called it a month earlier than they did, actually over a month, not mine or anyone elses, their OWN!!

Hence why I stated anyone paying attention knew this was bad ages ago. Don't blame the people going about their business in a law abiding way, it was our politicians that stuffed up waiting too long to realise they needed to act.

If they had banned the export of medical supplies in early February we would have had less problems. If they had planned ahead for a pandemic, we would have had no problems. They had years of warnings, but instead of taking the hint of SARS, swine flu, H1N1, MERS etc they decided a pandemic would not be a problem, nor happen here. All the 'Economic Modelling of a Pandemic' literature from economists was also poor, in not considering a major pandemic from a new virus at all.

This isn't about one side of politics, the state labour govt here in Victoria was ill prepared, and had their heads in the sand just like the liberal Feds. Our geniuses here were still wanting to go ahead with the GP of all things, which clearly showed they had not paid attention to what was actually happening.
