Unfortunately this is not good enough. The announcement is disingenuous in talking about PEG Riba as standard of care. It was standard of care 3 years ago, not now. These results are actually likely no better than boceprevir. LDV/SOF would give 100% SVR in this population, so these results are not going to make anyone interested in terms of HCV. My prediction: BIT will search around for partnering for further HCV trials, will find nothing, and quietly drop their HCV programme later this year.
