There has been about one new uranium mine in the last twenty years in the entire world...and that was in Australia. So, yes, people are starting to get suss about the whole uranium thing, given that many of these companies are Johnny come lately bandwagon leapers, who probably will never have a working U mine in the next ten years, if at all. Paladin are about to get their mine up and going in Namibia, but it's been about 5 years in the making, and that was after they bought a JORC defined resource.
The next uranium tenement in Australia is probably held by AGS: it will still be some time before they start digging up dirt, and even then there are numerous hoops it has to jump through to get to that point.
