It's difficult to find any commentary about the near term future price of gold that's not optimistic - not just here on HotCopper but increasingly in the mainstream press as well.
That's always a bit of an issue for a contrarian investor like me. It doesn't feel right but I lightened my VAU holding a bit today despite not yet being eligible for the CGT discount.
Hopefully, my selling today will prove to be a huge mistake very, very soon.
