I queried someone in the know recently and the answer was (speculation of course) that there is more water vapour in the atmosphere and cold air over the arctic has been displaced southward by changes to the weather/climate in the Arctic region. Everyone should be smart enough to know that the global climate is a complex system and there could easily be localised changes that may not at first seem to correspond to the idea of a hotter planet.

To prove this scientifically may take ten years of research, that's if there is ever funding provided for a research project. However your stated position here on HC is that research into possible threats to the ecosystem are not worth carrying out, so as far as you care, such a study will never, ever be carried out. Yet you are still prepared to ask the question on HC and make a glib, unfounded deduction.

    Its called "hypocrisy".
