Well, life with komoot is a love hate thing - she's a weapon -
a sense of humour of very dark character -
this is the difference in what happens if you tell her to plan a tour -- by Mountain bike or by touring bike (or road - similar elevation tour and road).
Look at the elevation in both
In tour - you get this caring loving fluffy little cute person who wants and tries her best to please
In MTB - she dons the leather and picks up the whip and says - 'ok boy, let's get down and dirty'
she's really a she - because as you're rocketing down a gully with your eyeballs shaking (and, yes - they do shake) -- all of a sudden she'll say - 'turn right now'
you slam on the anchors and by the time the dust has settled and the cows have awakened from the shock - she says ' opps, we missed that - rerouting tour'
to which you reply 'ffs' some notice would be helpful
think of the cutest thing you can have sitting next to you in a sports car with a short skirt, a sense of humour and the worst navigation habits - and, you've pretty much got her
she does, however, seem to know every single little hidden track on planet earth - it might be 200 mm wide rolling through a thick forest - but, she knows it's there somehow - even with steps and broken bridges - she feels this is no problem for a trained digger - as long as you're in MTB mode - she thinks you're up for it
and, boy, does she get the huffs if you leave the route - not friendly like the tom tom person of the past at all ----------- oh no no no no non - it's my way or the highway
she does of course - speak to you in your ear - which is why she's in my life - there's not a lot of choice out there for that on bikes - in gullies and small alleys with steps -------------- this isn't car stuff
