Well, I'll put this in here for those interested -- I've left the Alps --
my judgement on it is that of all the decades of travel I've done and seen some places that I consider beautiful - I've never been in a more magnificent place than Chamonix
beautiful doesn't cut it - not at all ------ words like grandeur and magnificent come closer --
I don't think it would suit me to live there in winter - because the exercise that I do wouldn't be easy - otherwise - I'd very happily live the rest of my life there - and, will be giving it much consideration for a summer home - I've never seen a place that grabbed me so much.
Perhaps a sign - I don't know - but, I've been running Tom Tom go for a couple of weeks and have been very happy with it ------------ so, I left after punching in the new destination and for the first time - Tom Tom did me wrong -
it took me down the road a few kilometres - turned around a few corners and headed me back to right near where I had started - not sure if that was a message from Tom himself - but, it was 'interesting'.
I seriously hope it's au revoir -- and, not a goodbye for this one
