You see people fishing all the time - including right through winter - but, a lot more in summer.
You don't see them catch a lot - but, I've seen a few good sized ones come out and you see some larger ones when the river is calm (mustn't forget it goes mirror like - not the raging bloody thing that's flowing by my window at ?? I don't know - must be about 7kph atm - it's rocketing - and, in a mood).
Hopefully most of the rain has gone - a bit of clear tomorrow supposedly - then, some snowflakes in a few days ------ so, the less than hardy fisherpersons will be a month or two away yet I think.
I don't know if anyone eats anything they catch - I wouldn't out of the canals - but, the rivers????? hmmm - I'll ask about - the waters are more often crystal clear - so, I don't know.
I certainly use the water for showering - I don't think it's got anything to do with the deformities that are appearing - might be though.
