It was a bit difficult on the road in Germany --- by the time I was in Neanderthal even though I felt perfectly fine - I was actually in a pretty precarious state health wise - I'd been (I thought) bitten by something on the ankle - which although I was for the most part very comfortable - ended up with evidence of a clot and inflammation from unknown cause and the odd picture to remind me of what a massively swollen ankle that's gone black from a wide bright red colour looks like - now - weeks later - even though I'm back to riding - my ankle still has some fluid on it - and all the top layer of skin has peeled away. I wasn't doing 30 km walks at that point.
