    I don't know mate, but I'm pretty certain a kelpie wouldn't be able to maul any of us,

    I got bitten by a friend's kelpie when I was younger, it was a mongrel of a thing,

    I think they end up giving it an operation after biting the postie every time he delivered the mail,

    Sounds a bit suspicious to me the story does,
