    Your posts on this thread have been spot on imo.

    I am starting to think of a VFT as a facilitating project rather than a servicing project.

    A lot is written about Australia being under populated ... much difficulty and risk flows from that ... not the least being the time bomb of largely unfunded aging demographics.

    If we could magically add in 3-5 million younger, skilled workers by creating lasting employment, the infrastructure and services spend to facilitate that is essentially incremental. At the mid point of say 4 mill, annual tax revenue over the next 3 decades would be a staggering $120 bill increasing to $280 bill.

    That tax revenue would be the thin end of the wedge when you consider the growth in services, manufacturing and retail that would accompany a population growth of 4 mill.

    Australia is Australian's greatest asset and imo it is being under utilised.

    An east coast VFT has the potential to be the seed to allow the above to happen imo.
