Just reporting back. Used the clove oil over 8hrs ago and the tooth feels perfectly normal. Being the top tooth gravity was against me, I could not place a drop and let it seep in. Had to get some cotton wool and make 2mm balls, soaked in oil and placed in hole with a toothpick. Removed after a couple of minutes.
