Well unless we do something about the spending by the 70% then any effort to take away wealth from the top 1% will change nothing. People are told continually to spend, spend, spend and unsurprisingly they do until they have nothing.
I have had a few times in my life where I had nothing and I couldn't sleep because of the worry. I really don't understand how people can go through life paycheck to paycheck.
