You said it yourself - they are innovations and breakthroughs - decisive breakthroughs at that which we have not seen in our lifetimes. Problem with A.I industry today is that all A.I based revenue is concentrated towards Digital Advertising and Web Search (Big Tech). This is big money big margin business.
Lets not get this mixed up the same type of money is involved in current innovation they are not on the market and not being monetized. Thats coming and coming fast IMO - 2024 is going to be pretty weird with A.I.
Appen is growing its business in Enterprise where the future is for this company. Big Tech won't need Appen with Digital Advertising and Web Search in future. They are using Appen for LLM projects and the company still generates US$20m revenue per month.
