Hi FC, it was merely my observation that a very senior Biotech analyst at Citi has taken a strategic role at Pfizer in May. The subsequent buying spree of 7 million shares by Citicorp in June may or may not be connected to his appointment.

But it wouldn't surprise if there is some kind of connection. Pfizer and Citi have a long standing close business relationship. It may be an advantage to Pfizer to have a friendly financial partner seeking to obtain an influential position in potential takeover target.

High level business machinations can be a mystery to most. I'm just speculating on possible scenarios. Watch this space is my opinion. If the strong buying continues then I think something is brewing.
