I guess the point I was trying to make is that if you put your shares into your super fund at 8.5 cents and they go to 50 cents you don’t pay capital gains , unlike if you don’t you pay tax on 50% of the gain.
If you thought there was going to be good gains and you were approaching retirement age that would be a pretty smart move especially if you knew the gains were coming .
