The ASX says the average daily number of trades was 13 per cent lower year-on-year in August, the second straight month of double digit declines. ASX boss Dominic Stevens. James Alcock Average daily trades fell to 1.55 million from 1.79 million at the same time last year. Total trades fell to 32.6 million from 39.5 million. The ASX reported a 12 per cent year-on-year decline in average daily trades in July. Average daily trades rose 5 per cent in June. The ASX says companies raised $4.9 billion in August, up from $4.4 billion in July. Around $4.6 billion was raised through secondary raisings compared to $4 billion in July.
