The big boys will be holding back until a commercial find is confirmed then buy in for steady growth as the Canning exploration pans out. It will cost them considerably more than the share price is trading at today but they will pay the premium as the cost of certainty.
And us mad punters taking the risks?
The rewards are large and the downside is manageable, there is a lot more to Arc than just this well.
We tend to count our chickens before they hatch. But one thing is for sure, there are more eggs in the form of extra targets not even anticipated and there is a hen keeping them warm in the form of the all important petroleum seal. Not yet time to rename it the onshore Ottway yet, but promising all the same.
