The BNYMC purchases you are referring to are related to the ADR’s that the purchaser holds for those that want to buy these ADR’s on Nasdaq.
BNYMC aren’t investing in IPX. What we can see is that close to 15% of IPX are held as ADR’s. This will continue to grow, so expect more notices like the one that prompted your post.
