Obviously no luck with your top 20 investigations?

The last published top 20 was 1 October 2008 in the Annual Report, which stated the shareholders in positions 13-20 had holdings of 2.5m shares or less (noting this was pre 31 Dec option conversion). Consider this against the stated 196m share turnover in the past month and you would suspect significant change has occurred.

My interest (if you were wondering) is to determine the nature of the recent buying, assuming it is broking houses accumulating for deep pocketed clients and / or a reputable institution (or two) taking a long term position. The benefits of both are a stable register, however the later would be an excellent statement to the market that the big boys want a piece.

What we do know is that the magic number of 33m has yet to be hit (no substantial shareholder notice), let's hope this will change in the coming months.
