I was just looking at my spread sheet of the Top 200 (from 6/1/09) and came up with some interesting observations.

Half Yearly Report Released 2/3/09
Sell off 2/3/09 Vol traded 12,323,540

4 declined between 24/2 and 3/3
5 dropped out from the 24/2
10 increased between 24/2 and 3/3
10 new in on 3/3

Over all a slight decline in the Top 200 (0.103% or 692,702 shares)


Update Report Released 18/3/09
Sell off 18/3/09 Vol traded 4,851,650

6 declined between 17/3 and 24/3
7 dropped out from 17/3
2 increased between 17/3 and 24/3
4 new in on 24/3

Over all a slight increase in the Top 200 (0.907% or 6,045,758 shares)

To Note:
Oregon Nominees dropped over 4m
Comsec Nominees came in at nearly 15m
Burrows came in at 4m
Bouta dropped over 3m
Brown dropped by 2m
Netshare came in at nearly 2m
Total Shares traded from 18/3 to 24/3 was 8,331,325

Comments:
Don't understand how new entries can total approx 20m and just over 8m were traded. Must look into this.

It is interesting to see Comsec Nom. come in with nearly 15m, I wonder who they are ? Is it one holder or is it just a coincidence that a few bought under Comsec after the announcement ?
The other thing is that the Top 200 has been consistent and slightly increasing, I think the Top 200 will be very different next week. I will update my spread sheet then and post the results.
