Unfortunantely for the shorters, they wont be invited by the company to cover their shorts by participating in a placement at a cheaper price.
This also will apply to their associates and related parties.
Not only is this practice illegal but also unethical.
So in short, anyone who has either shorted the stock or has smashed it down in the hope to pick up shares at a lower price has literally sold themselves short.
Cant help bad luck!
