Smart idea.
I also think that it's more to do with the software rather than a personal vendetta against PLS.
I have seen it mentioned on PLS threads and other stock threads where posters are encouraged to thumb up a post so that it makes the Top 5.
That move tends to make a post more popular than it actually is. Especially when you see some company announcements getting targeted for thumbs up just to get the stock on the Top 5.
HC has recognised a problem and no doubt are working on an alternative.
