Exxaro, with a market value of about $7.6 billion paid $388m for African iron which was 1.46 times African Iron’s total asset value, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. That compares with a median multiple of 1.36 times for nine comparable deals, the figures show.
Equatorial with $90m in cash and market cap of $280m is looking fairly attractive considering its going to grow its asset value dramatically over the next 12months with 2 projects being drilled.
