I wouldn't buy any banks at the moment but if I was going to I would choose CBA and WBC.
I liked BEN's model about ten years ago and I like their community banks but I was happy to sell out last year on my feeling that they have already extracted most of the value and are now looking more and more like one of the crowd. I hope I'm wrong but it's just my opinion.
Perhaps they'll get another takeover offer. If I was holding BEN then that's what I'd be hoping for....
