It's funny with brands. I bought a Bosch fridge and while the compressor worked well and long other issues were always there including the fact that they were not designed for the humid tropics. I think they gave up on the idea. I had to wheel it onto the back patio and hose out the ice for half an hour.
The European drink vending machines I bought were awful, American stuff a bit patchy but the best were a discontinued Sanyo model. I would buy a Jap brand washer if I could.
There are no hard and fast rules, every manufacturer has made dogs.
