The ann mentions the honor is awarded on the basis of ‘contributions to the Mexican mining industry’
In this sense it was richly deserved. The company has spent many tens of millions of shareholder dollars exploring various tenements over the past 10-15 years.
The company hasnt succeeded (yet) in generating revenue or increasing the share price but it’s made substantial monetary contribution to the Mexican economy (local labour, equipment hire etc) and this deserves to be acknowledged
