I am reading Back from the Brink by Peter Andrews (foreward by Gerry Harvey from Harvey Norman)
Andrews is saying when the dry ends and we get lots of rain (as has happened in the past, I think the last time was in the 1950s) we will have VERY BIG problems with salinity which will put us in a worse position than we are now in.
I recommend reading this book.
