This post hoc (supposed) declassification gambit is really interesting.
If you don't have to show any order or document proving that you've declassified top secret classified material, before leaving office....
....then the next time one of your cronies is sentenced for a felony....
........you simply concoct a story that you (secretly) issued them a pardon, before you left office.
