@Pasta1; the position of GG in Australia is indeed a fraught one - unelected and instead appointed by the Queen on the advice of our PM means they do NOT represent the Australian People and their actions are not solely focused on Australia's national interest.
It's my assessment that GG Hurley appears to ring-fencing himself with carefully worded press releases consistent with the requirement that he acts on the advice of the PM.
At what point a GG questions the advice or behaviour of a PM is problematic and I suspect that's what we'll now see interrogated by the media.
