amazed,
one man's negative is another man's circumspection.
I dont think I am overly negative.
But I would argue that I am entitled to bring some reality to a post heading that say, "top strategic move by top team". If that's not overly optimistic then I dont know waht is.
I think the announcement is a positive.
I dont, however, think it is materially positive in the context of what I believe to be their existing defecits.
Being:
1) Capex too high ($100ptonne)
2) Budget discipline and low-cost mindset being too low (I mean who speands almost 50% of their cash burn on advisory???)Not good enough.
3) Lack of balance sheet support. Couldnt get equity last time and now have a hedge fund's con note as the (possibly) only option.
4) Management performance - 3 years in the job with no deals completed and >$10M spent.
5) Biggest partner, Tincom, failing to commit within expected timeframe (the expectation that ESI set)(I also question its status as "binding" as per announcement)
Amongst others.
And now I'm expected to get excited about something that should have happened before the world tours?? A question one should ask Kos is, "how long ago was the extruder replacement identified as a requirement to building better sales collateral??"
The Intersuisse report, was highly qualified around completing the Tincom deal, which hasnt been completed, so all assumptions which lead to a defined value per share at that point in time would be seriously discounted by now.
Amazed, SP3, Lautrec et al, I dont make these statements because I want to denegrate the company's name, I am genuinely interested in the application of this type of technology and have been intimately involved in this company in the past, so my OPINIONS are a reality according to me(and poissibly me only). You can choose not to adopt these. But I am confident that my views are not without basis and I am happy to substatiate till the cows come home.
I hope they do commercialise this, I am just concerned about the headwinds. Any sailor's in the forum? Whats the most important aspect of a yacht race, especially one that involves strong headwinds??
